General Information

The Otology and Neurotology division of the Department of Otolaryngology at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is a team of specialists who treat diseases of the ear and skull base. Our surgeons perform otologic and neurotologic surgery, including:
  • Procedures for disease of the ear, including chronic otitis media, acoustic neuroma, cholesteatoma, otosclerosis, perforation of the tympanic membrane, and meniere’s disease
  • Hearing restoration surgery, including cochlear implantation, brain stem implantation, and implantable hearing aids
With more than 400 major ear surgeries performed each year, the division of otology/neurotology has one of the highest surgical volumes in the country. Innovative research and the most advanced surgical techniques are combined with excellent patient care resulting in superior outcomes and a high level of patient satisfaction.
