General Information

The Otology and Neurotology division of the Department of Otolaryngology at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is a team of specialists who treat diseases of the ear and skull base. Our surgeons perform otologic and neurotologic surgery, including:

Procedures for disease of the ear, including chronic otitis media, acoustic neuroma, cholesteatoma, otosclerosis, perforation of the tympanic membrane, and meniere’s disease
Hearing restoration surgery, including cochlear implantation, brain stem implantation, and implantable hearing aids

With more than 400 major ear surgeries performed each year, the division of otology/neurotology has one of the highest surgical volumes in the country. Innovative research and the most advanced surgical techniques are combined with excellent patient care resulting in superior outcomes and a high level of patient satisfaction.
